ATTENDING YOUR FIRST BRIGHTON SOCIALISING EVENT

We have all been in the same situation at one time or another and making that step to attending your first social event may not feel that easy but once you meet us you'll find everyone is friendly and welcoming.   

How do I start?

Choose the social event that you would like to attend, add your name to the RSVP section, and then why not say hello on the wall to your fellow Brighton Socialisers to introduce yourself. If you'd rather not attend on your own for the first time, just let us know and we'll find you Brighton Socialising 'buddy'. Just drop us an email at info@brightonsocialising.com.

What do I do once I arrive at a Brighton Socialising event?

Just be yourself. Remember there may be other people who are attending an event for the first time as well, and even if there aren't, everyone there will at some point have joined us for the first time.

Are there any costs involved in attending a Brighton Socialising event?

Once you've subscribed, our social events are free to attend apart from costs at the event itself, for example a meal, bowling or cinema tickets. We do try to negotiate discounts to pass on to our members.

Is there a limit on the number of events I attend?

As a member, you can attend as many events as you want. Every month we organise a social get-together in one of Brighton's many pubs, which are particularly popular with new members, but many of our regular members attend as well. We also organise meals, cinema and theatre trips, bowling, volley ball on the beach, and many, many more. You will also be invited to two Brighton Socialising parties - one in the summer and one in the winter.

What if I can't see any events I like or want to attend?

Our social events calendar is updated frequently and you will receive email alerts each time a new event is posted on the site. You can also organise your own events or discuss ideas for an event with other members of Brighton Socialising in the forum. To organise event, just add it to the events calendar and once it's been approved, we'll post it on the site.

What if someone is rude to me at an event?

We take rudeness very seriously and will ban people from the network if they do not treat others with respect. Please email info@brightonsocialising.com if you would like to report a problem.
