BrightonSocialising is getting in touch with its inner Tarzan. Join us as we dangle from ropes and shoot down zip lines on an action packed adventure day out.

What is Go Ape? It’s not in the dictionary, but if it was, Go Ape would be described as a ‘high-wire forest adventure’.

That means they build giant obstacle courses up in the trees using ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels made of wood, rope and super-strong wire, and top it all off with the country’s best zip lines (including the longest at 426 metres – check it out on You Tube).
They then kit people out with harnesses, pulleys and karabiners, give them a 30 minute safety briefing and training and let them loose into the forest canopy, free to swing through the trees. Of course, instructors are always on hand, regularly patrolling the forests (not in monkey suits unfortunately!)

The result is spectacular. The Go Ape experience gets the adrenalin pumping, gets people out of their comfort zones and above all (no pun intended), it’s just great fun. A few friends have been and rave about it.

We have to pay upfront so the 17th July at 2-30pm is looking good, although we need to be flexible around times so only book if you can make any time on this day, however once I have numbers and payments I will confirm times etc. We can have a maximum of 14 people per booking. We will leave Brighton around 11am ish to allow for travel / lunch.

I myself have never been and this should be a fantastic day out. We will convoy up in cars and offer lift shares etc so don't worry if you don't drive but want to come.

Hello Monkeys, It's all booked for 17th July at 2pm, suggest we head off around 11am and find somewhere on the way for some lunch. It's at Bedgebury in Kent as it's nearer. Lets all go in one car?

Really sorry, this looks great fun but hopefully I will be having another adventure on the boat and so I can't commit to doing this at the moment.
