Red Snapper is undoubtedly the best Thai restaurant in Brighton. It provides excellent authentic Thai dishes, served by attentive and knowledgeable staff in a relaxed friendly environment. Its BYO alcohol, the last time I went I only spent £10 per head!

Red Snapper moved from its original location on Dyke Road to its current position: 45 Waterloo Street in Hove at the beginning of the year. It now has a small but cosy bar with a few tables upstairs and a slightly larger restaurant downstairs.

The downstairs restaurant has the feeling of being on board a vessel, it has unusual décor with marine windows, and at the far end there is a cosy little cubby hole area which sits about 6 people and makes an unusual private dining experience.

The new restaurant is licensed and has a decent range of wine; however diners are still welcomed to bring their own alcohol, and are charged a minimal corkage fee which makes dining out extraordinarily cheap particularly for such excellent quality.

The menu includes a number of whole fish dishes in delicious sauces, and some other unusual but highly recommended signature dishes. If you are keen to savour the flavours of the orient, or want to eat out in the city on a limited budget this is definitely the place to go.

Hi guys, just to let you know they do sittings from 7 till 9 and we need to be there at 7pm - I have booked a table for 10 so as Becky is not coming there are two places left ;-) see you there, Paul x

Sorry parents are down and going for food so cant make the meal and working the next day so cant meet up afterwards shame was looking forward to it as love the Red snapper
