 t together with a chance to meet new members and welcome them to our g
 rowing family of socialites. It's free to attend this event and try us
  out, so tell everyone and bring your friends :-). There is usuall a t
 able reserved under Brighton Socialising but if you ask a member of ba
 r staff they will point you to us and we will be waiting to welcome yo
 u.\n\nWe will be choosing a different venue each month and this month 
 we will be at The Eagle on Gloucester Road (see link below for directi
 ons)\n\nA local favourite, The Eagle is handily tucked away from the m
 ain drag making it a haven from throngs of tourists.\n\nThe Venue\nWit
 h its calm air and an airy interior, The Eagle (formerly the Eagle Bar
  and Bakery) is a local favourite. The staff are more hit than miss al
 though there is the odd erratic member of staff. However, in general y
 ou'll be greeted with beaming smiles and staff who will bend over back
 wards to help.\n\nAl fresco smoking and drinking take place out the fr
 ont of the pub whilst inside there's a hip bendingly cool jazz soundtr
 ack and a hypnotic fishtank.\n\nThe People\nThe North Laines is loved 
 for its eclecticism and the punters are the best possible mix of the a
 rea's many varied faces. One thing they do have in common however is a
  determination to have a good time and not take life too seriously.\n\
 nThe Food and Drink\nAbbot Ale, Kronenbourg, Heineken, Fosters and Gui
 nness are all on draught and whichever one you choose you'll want to l
 inger over it as The Eagle is a great place to unwind after a long day
 .\n\nThe Last Word\nThe Eagle may have lost part of its name but it ce
 rtainly hasn't lost any of its charm. An essential stop-off point when
  you're out for a wander through the North Laines and are feeling a bi
